Nepal's Prime Minister Balendra Shah told the United Nations General Assembly Thursday that the deadly floods that hit Nepal were a warning to the world on climate disaster. Shah proposed the establishment of a Himalayan Climate Resilience Mechanism led by Nepal, India and China through which countries would share satellite data and expertise, monitor dangerous glacial lakes, strengthen joint early warning systems and coordinate assistance across borders in the case of climate disasters.
