New Delhi, Sep 21 (SocialNews.XYZ) The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM)-led Seva Sankalp Yatra continued its journey on the fifth day, expanding across Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra.
A total of 20 routes are now active, carrying forward the message of seva, social responsibility and nation-building inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years of public service.
The broader Seva Sankalp Abhiyan was launched on September 17 from Vadnagar and Varanasi to mark this milestone. As of Monday, the Yatra is moving on nine routes in Madhya Pradesh, five in Rajasthan, five in Uttar Pradesh and one in Maharashtra.
Public representatives and community leaders continued to join the movement as Seva Yatris. Among those who participated on Monday were Madhya Pradesh Minister Nirmala Bhuriya, Gujarat Minister Ishwarbhai Patel, Rajasthan Minister of State K.K. Bishnoi, Member of Parliament Ganesh Singh, former MP R.K. Singh Patel and MLA Jai Kumar Singh, among others.
A defining feature of the Yatra is that every journey begins with an act of service. Across different locations, Seva Yatris are undertaking tree plantation, Gau Seva, Swachhta Abhiyan, Labharthi Samwaad and organ-donation pledges while engaging directly with local communities.
The campaign aims to ensure the spirit of seva moves beyond a slogan and translates into meaningful grassroots action.
BJYM National President Hemang Joshi is participating in Route No. 1 in Madhya Pradesh. During the day, he honoured sanitation workers for their contribution to keeping communities clean and healthy.
In the evening, he is scheduled to join a Bhajan Jamming session with residents and youth, reflecting the Yatra’s effort to connect with people through culture, community interaction, and public programmes.
Speaking to locals, Joshi said the Seva Sankalp Yatra expresses the spirit of service that has defined Prime Minister Modi’s 25 years of public life.
“His journey teaches us that public life is not about position but about responsibility; not about recognition but about service to society and the nation. For us in the Yuva Morcha, Modi Ji’s life inspires us to turn the idea of Seva into action. That is why our youth are planting trees, serving Gau Mata, undertaking cleanliness drives, interacting with beneficiaries and taking pledges for organ donation. Every kilometre of this Yatra is an opportunity to serve, connect and contribute,” he said.
He added that the enthusiasm witnessed across villages and towns shows the deep resonance of the spirit of seva among the youth. The Yatra, he said, aims to ensure that every young Seva Yatri returns not merely having travelled a route but carrying a lifelong commitment to serve society and build a Viksit Bharat.
Launched from Vadnagar and Varanasi, the Yatra symbolically connects two important chapters of the Prime Minister’s public journey. It seeks to translate the values of service, dedication and nation-building into active participation by India’s youth.
