Delhi Metro International to make its global debut at InnoTrans 2026 in Berlin

New Delhi, Sep 20 (SocialNews.XYZ) Delhi Metro International Limited (DMIL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), will make its global debut at InnoTrans 2026 in Berlin, bringing its mobility expertise and experience to an international audience.

Through its participation in InnoTrans, which is the world's largest trade fair being held every two years in Berlin (Germany) and focusing on the rail transport industry, DMIL will showcase its capabilities across operations and maintenance (O&M), consultancy, project management and advisory services, said Anuj Dayal, Principal Executive Director, Corporate Communications, DMRC.

Dayal said the event will also give DMIL a platform to engage with transit authorities, infrastructure companies, technology providers, operators and other mobility stakeholders to explore partnerships and opportunities across the global urban transport ecosystem.

The DMIL has submitted five international bids in the last three months, marking a significant start to its international business expansion, he said.

The company is exploring opportunities in West Asia and select European markets, while evaluating opportunities in North America over time. Africa also remains on its watch list, with potential opportunities through partnerships with local companies and the Union Government, he said.

Sanjay Jamuar, Chief Executive Officer, Delhi Metro International Limited (DMIL), said, “InnoTrans 2026 provides an important platform to showcase the expertise of DMRC and DMIL on the global stage. It will help us engage with transit authorities, infrastructure partners and mobility leaders from across the world.”

He said that cities are looking for integrated, flexible and future-ready mobility solutions. “We see an opportunity to take our engineering expertise and real-world operational experience to international markets. Through DMIL, we aim to build meaningful collaborations. We also seek to learn from global best practices and contribute to efficient and sustainable urban transport systems,” he said.

DMIL focuses on delivering operations and maintenance, consultancy, project management, and advisory services for metro, rail, and urban transit projects across India and international markets, the statement said.

Delhi Metro stands among the world's leading metro systems, operating a network of over 416 kilometres with more than 300 stations and handling nearly 6.5 million passenger boardings every day.

Leveraging the experience gained through planning, building and operating Delhi Metro, DMIL will support transit projects across their lifecycle, from feasibility studies and planning to implementation, testing, commissioning, operations, maintenance, asset management and capacity building, it said.

At InnoTrans 2026, DMIL will be present at Hall 7.2C, Stand 240, where the team will showcase its capabilities and engage with government agencies, infrastructure partners, funders, developers and other stakeholders, the statement said.

The company will use the global platform to highlight its experience in delivering metro and urban transport solutions and explore opportunities for collaboration across international markets, it said.

The 2026 edition of InnoTrans will focus on technologies transforming rail transport, including autonomous public transport, cybersecurity, robotics, 3D printing and artificial intelligence.
