Shimla, Sep 17 (SocialNews.XYZ) Himachal Pradesh BJP leader and former Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Thursday extended birthday greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, praising his leadership and saying India was scaling new heights of development and progress under his guidance.
In a message on behalf of the people of Himachal Pradesh, Leader of Opposition Thakur wished PM Modi good health, long life, and continued success in his service to the nation.
“Under your strong, visionary, and decisive leadership, India is touching new heights of development and progress. The country’s pride has grown, and India is establishing a new identity as a strong nation on the world stage,” the message said.
He said the state had also received several important development projects under the BJP-led government at the Centre.
He highlighted the expansion of roads and transport, the strengthening of healthcare facilities, the promotion of tourism, and the implementation of major development projects in the state.
The message said the Central government had continued to accord priority to Himachal Pradesh's development.
Meanwhile, state BJP President Rajeev Bindal said various service and public outreach programmes would be organised in the Nahan Assembly constituency to mark PM Modi’s birthday and the completion of 25 years of his public service and dedication.
Bindal said an ‘Aashirwad ka Diya’ (lamp of blessings) would be lit in every household in the evening on September 17. Party workers would visit as many households as possible and interact with residents, he said, adding that greater outreach would help strengthen public contact. A havan was organised at the Mata Kali Temple in Nahan town on Thursday morning, with participation from BJP workers in the town.
The programme was held with a spirit of service and prayers for well-being on the occasion of the Prime Minister's birthday, Bindal said.
Later in the day, BJP workers and members of the public would organise a blood donation camp, donating blood for patients in need. Community lamp-lighting programmes would be held at prominent locations in Nahan, including the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Sirmaur. The BJP Mahila Morcha would organise an ‘Aangan Seva Utsav’ (courtyard service festival) along with various other service and public outreach activities.
