‘No one has modern developmental vision like Akhilesh’: SP MLA Shivpal Yadav

Etawah (UP), Sep 16 (SocialNews.XYZ) Days after Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav took over as the chief of the Lohia Trust, replacing his uncle, MLA Shivpal Yadav, the latter on Wednesday asserted that nobody possesses a modern developmental vision like the SP chief.

Talking to reporters at an event here, Shivpal Yadav said: "I have seen that there have been many parties in Uttar Pradesh, but nobody has a modern developmental vision like Akhilesh Yadav."

Regarding the SP President's appointment as Lohia Trust chief, he said: "I called a meeting where I had proposed Akhilesh Yadav's name for the post, which was subsequently passed."

Shivpal Yadav stated that under Akhilesh Yadav's leadership, the Lohia Trust could flourish and Ram Manohar Lohia's ideas could be taken to the masses. He added that this would strengthen the Samajwadi Party alongside the Lohia Trust.

Reacting to UP Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar's statement that Akhilesh Yadav no longer trusted his uncle because of the latter's political differences with the SP chief in the past, Shivpal Yadav remarked: "He (Rajbhar) is afraid."

The Cabinet Minister was citing Shivpal Yadav’s decision to leave the party and spend a period with the BJP before forming the Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party Lohia (PSPL).

Rajbhar said that Shivpal Yadav had, at that time, openly criticised the SP and accused it of becoming a party of "thieves and rogues" and of being dominated by mafias. He also recalled Shivpal Yadav’s allegations that people involved in encroaching on the land of the poor had entered the party.

According to Rajbhar, Shivpal Yadav had repeatedly made such statements after forming his own party, making it difficult for Akhilesh Yadav to repose trust in him.

UP Minister Anil Rajbhar had also criticised the SP chief, alleging that Akhilesh Yadav did not have faith in anyone and even lacked confidence in himself.

However, Shivpal Yadav claimed: "The true state of affairs regarding the government and the NDA alliance across Uttar Pradesh is evident to all. Nothing gets done in the state without extortion, bribery, dishonesty, and corruption. They are afraid that we will form the government in 2027."
