The official UV Films handle unveiled the poster with the intriguing line, “He enforced the law and now he faces it.” The poster carries another cryptic tagline — “This Time, The Target Is Within.” Together, the two lines hint at a story where the biggest battle may not be against an external enemy, but against the protagonist's own past and choices.
In the first look, Amit Sadh is seen in a tense, action-heavy setting, pointing a gun amid shattered-glass effects, immediately establishing the film's thriller tone. Images of the other key cast members also feature prominently, suggesting that the characters surrounding Sadh's encounter specialist will play an important role in his journey.
Pratap follows a decorated encounter specialist whose professional life is eventually disrupted when he finds himself on the other side of the law. As imprisonment and the consequences of his past actions enter the picture, the story is expected to explore questions of accountability, identity and the psychological impact of choices made in the line of duty.
The film has been written and directed by Sachin Saraf, who is making the central conflict personal rather than treating the story simply as an action thriller. The title character's journey appears to be built around self-discovery and retribution, with the phrase “the target is within” offering a clue that his greatest confrontation could ultimately be with himself.
The supporting cast brings several experienced performers into the mix. Esha Deol, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Milind Gunaji and Seema Biswas feature in pivotal roles, alongside Dushyant Wagh and other members of the ensemble. Their involvement adds considerable acting depth to a film that appears to combine an investigative narrative with an emotional character study.
For Amit Sadh, the role offers another opportunity to explore a physically demanding and morally complicated character. The actor has previously appeared in projects spanning crime dramas, thrillers and action-oriented stories, and Pratap once again puts him at the centre of a narrative where duty and personal consequences collide.
The film's central premise also gives the title an interesting significance. An encounter specialist is trained to pursue criminals and enforce the law, but what happens when his own past becomes the case? Pratap appears to take that idea and turn it into the foundation of its thriller narrative, placing its protagonist in a situation where professional authority can no longer shield him from personal accountability.
With its fractured-glass visual design, armed protagonist and deliberately mysterious tagline, the first-look poster has established a dark tone for the film. The makers have also locked the theatrical release, giving audiences a date to circle on the calendar.
Pratap is scheduled to hit cinemas on November 20, 2026. With Amit Sadh leading the cast, Sachin Saraf handling writing and direction, and Esha Deol, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Milind Gunaji and Seema Biswas adding to the ensemble, the thriller promises to take its encounter specialist from enforcing the law to confronting the consequences of his own past.
