Exclusive Bhagwan Das Patel Reveals the Personal Change He Experienced While Shooting Hanuman Ansh

For actor Bhagwan Das Patel, Hanuman Ansh has been more than just a film. In an exclusive interview, the actor, who plays Gopal Das Baheliya in the film, opened up about his experience of working on the project and how it brought him closer to Neem Karoli Baba. Bhagwan Das shared that he already had faith in Neem Karoli Baba before joining Hanuman Ansh, but he did not know much about him. Working on the film helped him understand Baba and his teachings better.

He also revealed how he got the role of Gopal Das Baheliya. Senior actor Mahendra Shrivas recommended his name for the character and told the makers, “Jaise tum ho, waise hi Gopal hai.” Bhagwan Das felt that the role suited him naturally. But the film’s impact went beyond his role. Talking about the personal change he experienced during the shoot, Bhagwan Das said, “Thoda sa shaant ho gaya hoon.”

He explained that he now feels more inclined to help people - whether by giving his time, helping with work or supporting someone financially whenever he can. The change, for him, appears to have come from the experience of working on a film connected to a spiritual figure he already had faith in and from gaining a deeper understanding of Neem Karoli Baba and his teachings.

The actor also spoke about Neem Karoli Baba’s teachings on living a simple life. He reflected on how people often keep wanting more, even when they already have enough. This perspective made him look at the way people approach life and what they truly need, adding another personal dimension to his experience of working on Hanuman Ansh.

For Bhagwan Das, playing Gopal Das Baheliya gave him an opportunity to explore a character connected to a spiritual figure he already believed in.
