New Delhi, Sep 8 (SocialNews.XYZ) Delhi Industries Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa on Tuesday reviewed the status of schemes, programmes and projects aimed at establishing non-polluting enterprises with a focus on employment generation and economic growth, an official said.
The review covered several key initiatives aimed at strengthening Delhi’s industrial and startup ecosystem, improving ease of doing business, promoting exports, supporting MSMEs and artisans, encouraging innovation, and ensuring faster, more efficient delivery of government services, said the official in a statement.
During the meeting, Sirsa reviewed the progress of the proposed Delhi Industrial Policy 2026–2036, which envisages the development of a future-ready, innovation-driven and sustainable industrial ecosystem.
The proposed policy identifies several priority areas, including frontier technologies, Global Capability Centres, data centres, research and innovation services, healthcare and medical wellness, urban logistics, the circular economy, industry-linked skilling, MSME modernisation, and the green transition, the statement said.
The Minister also reviewed the progress of the proposed Delhi Startup Policy 2026–2031, which seeks to position Delhi as a leading hub for innovation and entrepreneurship.
The policy focuses on sectors such as FinTech, R&D, IT and ITeS, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, DeepTech, Frontier Technologies, IoT and precision manufacturing. The review further covered the proposed Go-Delhi Foundation, envisioned as a flagship startup, innovation and commercialisation institution of the Delhi government.
Sirsa also reviewed initiatives related to the development of a comprehensive Industrial Survey and Unified Industry Registry, which proposes the use of digital and QR-code-based systems for better identification and governance of industrial premises.
The meeting also focused on Export Promotion, with plans for capacity-building workshops across districts, training programmes for exporters, and preparation of a comprehensive Delhi State Export Action Plan and District Export Action Plans.
Reviewing the progress of the Delhi Single Window System, Sirsa emphasised the need to further simplify and digitise approvals and clearances for businesses and investors. The redevelopment and integration of the system are aimed at making Government processes more seamless, transparent and business-friendly.
