'Day of great joy': Gen Z turns out in force to welcome PM Modi in Vadodara

Vadodara, Sep 8 (SocialNews.XYZ) Young people, including members of Gen Z, turned out in large numbers in Vadodara on Tuesday to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi, expressing excitement and enthusiasm over his visit to the city and the development projects scheduled to be unveiled during his programme.

Students gathered at various locations to catch a glimpse of the Prime Minister and expressed their desire to interact with him during his visit. Several youngsters said they were particularly excited about the opportunity to see PM Modi in person and convey their appreciation for the initiatives undertaken for the country's youth and economic development.

Speaking to IANS, a student said there was considerable enthusiasm among young people who had gathered to welcome the Prime Minister.

"There is immense enthusiasm. A large crowd has gathered here to see Narendra Modi. When we meet him, we would like to tell him that he has done a lot for us. The Prime Minister has closely focussed on our economic growth, travels to various places, meets people, and represents India, which is really great for us," the student said.

Another student described PM Modi's visit to Vadodara as a special occasion, saying it was a matter of good fortune for the city that the Prime Minister was visiting after a long gap. The student also expressed hope that he would interact directly with students and visit their college pavilion.

"First of all, it is our good fortune that he is coming to Baroda after such a long time. I would like him to interact with us once, visit our college pavilion, and also interact with our faculty... We hope he continues to speak to Gen Z, as he frequently interacts with the youth," the student said.

Another student said getting an opportunity to meet the Prime Minister would be a memorable experience and credited his government with improvements in the education sector.

"If we get a chance to meet PM Narendra Modi, it would be a huge privilege. The education system has improved significantly because of him," the student said.

The Prime Minister is scheduled to lay foundation stones, inaugurate and dedicate to the nation several development projects worth more than Rs 35,000 crore in Vadodara at around noon. The projects are expected to cover multiple sectors and form a significant part of his visit to the city.

The large turnout of young people was also welcomed by BJP leaders, who said the participation reflected the enthusiasm among people across different age groups for the Prime Minister's visit and the development initiatives being announced in Vadodara.

BJP MP Hemang Joshi, speaking to IANS, described the occasion as a moment of celebration for the city and said people had gathered in large numbers to welcome the Prime Minister.

"Today is a day of great joy for us, as our country's illustrious Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Vadodara to present several development gifts. The program organised today is truly unprecedented," Joshi said.

"Everyone is present here -- be it children, youth or women -- to welcome the Prime Minister to Vadodara," he added.
