Written and directed by Palaash Muchhal, Tera Sai will explore Sai Baba's teachings through a story rooted in humanity, devotion and hope. The film has completed its principal photography and is currently in post-production. Muchhal has also focused on recreating the period associated with Sai Baba, aiming to build an authentic world around the story while keeping its emotional core accessible to audiences across generations.
At the centre of the film is Sanjay Mishra, who steps into the challenging role of Sai Baba. According to the makers, the actor has taken a restrained and sincere approach to the character, focusing on portraying Sai Baba as a deeply human figure rather than simply relying on grandeur. Given Mishra's ability to bring emotional depth and quiet intensity to his performances, his interpretation of the iconic spiritual figure will be one of the major attractions when the film reaches cinemas.
The film also boasts a strong supporting cast, with Sayaji Shinde, Manoj Joshi, Omkar Das Manikpuri, Avika Gor and Rohan Mehra appearing in pivotal roles. Their presence adds further weight to a project that is attempting to tell a story with both historical and spiritual significance. Rather than limiting itself to one regional audience, Tera Sai is being positioned as a pan-India theatrical release that can connect with viewers across different parts of the country.
Adding another boost to the film's theatrical plans, Cinepolis India has come on board as the pan-India distributor. The collaboration follows the distributor's recent association with Hanuman Ansh, another project that received a theatrical push from the company. With Cinepolis backing its nationwide distribution, Tera Sai is aiming for a broad release that matches the universal appeal of Sai Baba's message.
Tera Sai will release in Hindi, Marathi, Telugu and Tamil on February 5, 2027. As the film moves through post-production, attention will now turn to its first trailer and a closer look at Sanjay Mishra's transformation into Sai Baba. With Palaash Muchhal at the helm, a seasoned ensemble cast and a pan-India release strategy, Tera Sai is shaping up as an ambitious cinematic take on a spiritual figure whose message of faith, compassion and humanity continues to resonate with audiences.
