Stree Turns 8 as Rajkummar Rao Celebrates Birthday; Raj And DK Reminisce About the Horror Comedy Classic

Eight years after she first terrified an entire town, Stree continues to be one of the most loved horror comedies in Hindi cinema. On the film's eighth anniversary, filmmakers Raj & DK took fans down memory lane with a fun comic-strip-style series of posters celebrating the unforgettable supernatural character and the madness that made the 2018 film such a hit.

Sharing the illustrations, Raj & DK wrote, “It’s been 8 years since we created her… and let her loose into the world!! #Stree”. The post revisited some of the film's most memorable moments in a colourful comic-book format, giving fans a nostalgic reminder of the small-town setting, eccentric characters and tongue-in-cheek humour that helped Stree stand apart from conventional horror films.

The anniversary celebration becomes even more special because today also marks Rajkummar Rao's birthday. The actor played Vicky, the lovable tailor from Chanderi, whose encounters with the mysterious Stree became the heart of the film. Rajkummar's comic timing, innocent expressions and chemistry with the rest of the cast played a major role in making Vicky one of the most memorable characters in the horror-comedy space.

The comic illustrations bring back several iconic moments from the film. Among them is Pankaj Tripathi's unforgettable “Woh Stree hai” moment, along with Rajkummar Rao's Vicky pleading with the mysterious woman.
