Bengaluru, Aug 29 (SocialNews.XYZ) The state government has issued an order appointing IPS officer Bhushan Gulabrao Borase as the Hubballi‑Dharwad Police Commissioner.
Borase, a 2009 batch IPS officer who was serving as Deputy Inspector General of Police and Commissioner of Police, Belagavi City, has been transferred with immediate effect. He has been appointed as Deputy Inspector General of Police and Commissioner of Police, Hubballi‑Dharwad, in an upgraded post, according to a government notification issued on Saturday.
Hubballi‑Dharwad Police Commissioner N. Shashi Kumar, IPS, has been transferred from the post, and Borase has been appointed in his place. The order said Borase would hold the new post until further orders.
Nikam Prakash Amrit, a 2012 batch IPS officer awaiting posting, has been appointed as Deputy Inspector General of Police and Commissioner of Police, Belagavi City, replacing Borase.
As part of the reshuffle, several senior IPS officers have also been transferred and given new postings.
Harishekaran P., a 1996 batch IPS officer, Additional Director General of Police, Crimes and Technical Services, Bengaluru, has been transferred and posted as Additional Director General of Police, Directorate of Civil Rights Enforcement, in an upgraded post. He will replace Umesh Kumar, IPS, who has been relieved of the concurrent charge.
M. Nanjundaswami, a 1997 batch IPS officer, Additional Director General of Police, Karnataka State Fire and Emergency Services and SDRF, Bengaluru, has been transferred and posted as Additional Director General of Police, Grievances and Human Rights, in an upgraded post, replacing Devajyoti Ray, IPS.
Devajyoti Ray, a 1999 batch IPS officer, has been transferred from Grievances and Human Rights and posted as Additional Director General of Police, Crimes and Technical Services, Bengaluru, in place of Harishekaran P.
Amit Singh, a 2007 batch IPS officer, Inspector General of Police, Western Range, Mangaluru, has been transferred and posted as Inspector General of Police, Karnataka State Reserve Police, in an upgraded post.
R. Chethan, a 2010 batch IPS officer awaiting posting, has been appointed as Deputy Inspector General of Police, Western Range, Mangaluru, replacing Amit Singh in the downgraded post.
The transfers have been ordered with immediate effect and will remain in force until further orders.
