Netflix has unveiled the first official trailer for Unabomber, an upcoming biographical thriller inspired by the life of Ted Kaczynski, the American mathematics prodigy who eventually became known as the Unabomber. Led by Jacob Tremblay, Russell Crowe and Shailene Woodley, the film explores the disturbing journey from a brilliant young student to one of the most infamous domestic terrorists in American history.

The trailer opens the door to a story built around a chilling question: how can an exceptionally gifted mind descend into violence? The film traces Kaczynski’s transformation from a 16-year-old Harvard prodigy into the man responsible for a deadly bombing campaign that lasted from 1978 to 1995. The campaign killed three people and injured 23 others.
