Junglee Pictures And PEN Studios Join Forces For Meghna Gulzar’s Daayra Starring Kareena Kapoor Khan And Prithviraj Sukumaran

Junglee Pictures and PEN Studios have announced a major collaboration, joining forces for acclaimed filmmaker Meghna Gulzar’s upcoming crime thriller Daayra. The film brings together two leading production houses for the first time and features Kareena Kapoor Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran in their first-ever on-screen pairing. The makers have scheduled the film for a theatrical release on September 18, 2026.

Announcing the collaboration, the makers described the coming together as “TWO TITANS OF INDIAN ENTERTAINMENT UNITE,” signalling the scale and ambition behind the project. With Vineet Jain and Dr Jayantilal Gada leading the respective production houses, the partnership brings together two established names for a film that promises an intense and thought-provoking cinematic experience.

At the heart of Daayra is Meghna Gulzar, whose storytelling has consistently explored complex subjects and emotionally layered characters.
