The Revolutionaries Trailer Brings Four Forgotten Rebels To The Forefront

Prime Video India has unveiled the trailer of The Revolutionaries, an upcoming Hindi period drama that promises to explore a lesser-known side of India’s freedom struggle. Packed with rebellion, action and emotional stakes, the series brings the stories of young revolutionaries who believed that armed resistance was necessary to challenge British colonial rule. The Revolutionaries will premiere globally on Prime Video on September 11, 2026.

Sharing the trailer on social media, Prime Video India summed up the spirit of the series with the line, “chaar sarfire, ek bagawat.” The phrase, which translates to “four firebrands, one rebellion,” immediately sets the tone for a story centred on four young rebels who refuse to quietly accept British rule. The trailer hints at a dangerous journey filled with protests, secret plans, confrontations and moments of explosive action.

At the heart of the series are Bhuvan Bam, Rohit Saraf, Pratibha Ranta and Gurfateh Pirzada. Bhuvan Bam steps into the role of Rash Behari Bose, while Rohit Saraf portrays Sachindra Nath Sanyal. The series brings these historical figures and other young freedom fighters into the spotlight, focusing on their determination and the risks they took during the struggle against colonial rule.

The trailer presents a world where rebellion comes at a heavy price. Young Indians are shown standing up against British forces, with protests and confrontations gradually escalating into armed resistance. Rather than presenting the freedom movement as a single unified story, The Revolutionaries appears to shine a light on individuals whose contributions and ideologies have received comparatively less attention in mainstream historical narratives.

The series is directed by Nikkhil Advani and is based on Sanjeev Sanyal’s non-fiction book Revolutionaries: The Other Story Of How India Won Its Freedom. The source material explores the revolutionary strand of India’s independence movement and the people who believed that direct action was an essential part of the fight against British colonial power. The adaptation looks set to turn that historical material into a dramatic and visually charged series.

For Bhuvan Bam, The Revolutionaries marks an intriguing move into a demanding historical character. Best known for his digital work and acting, Bam will be seen portraying Rash Behari Bose, a revolutionary whose role in India’s independence movement makes the character a significant challenge. Rohit Saraf, meanwhile, brings his own youthful energy to Sachindra Nath Sanyal.

The trailer also suggests that the series will balance its historical setting with the emotional lives of its young protagonists.
