Patna, Aug 27 (SocialNews.XYZ) On the occasion of Eid-Milad-un-Nabi, former Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday visited the historic Khanqah Mujibia in Phulwari Sharif, Patna.

He met the presiding Pir, Hazrat Maulana Ayatullah Qadri Sahib, and offered a ceremonial chadar at the shrine of the Khanqah’s founder, Hazrat Maulana Pir Mujibullah Qadri.

Nitish Kumar prayed for peace, brotherhood, communal harmony and the prosperity of Bihar and the country. He said he had been visiting Khanqah Mujibia for many years and shared a longstanding connection with the shrine, adding that visiting the site brought him a sense of peace.

Khanqah manager Hazrat Maulana Minhajuddin Qadri Mujibi and MLA Shyam Rajak welcomed the former Chief Minister. He subsequently visited the religious sites within the complex and participated in the Chadar-poshi ceremony.

A large number of devotees and residents gathered after news of his arrival spread. Nitish Kumar greeted the people and extended his wishes to them on Eid-Milad-un-Nabi.

Earlier, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) National Executive President Tejashwi Prasad Yadav visited Khanqah Bargah-e-Ishq Takia Sharif at Mitan Ghat in Patna City, where he offered a chadar and prayed for the peace, prosperity, happiness and progress of Bihar.

The historic shrine is associated with the state’s Sufi tradition and Ganga-Jamuni culture and attracts devotees from different parts of the region during the annual Urs. The site houses the shrine of Hazrat Khwaja Ruknuddin Ishq and also has a historical connection with the family of Tipu Sultan. Shahzada Muhammad Karim Shah, Tipu Sultan’s great-grandson, is buried at the complex, along with several other members of his family.

Tejashwi Yadav also visited Khanqah Mujibia in Phulwari Sharif, Patna, on Wednesday evening to offer chadar at the Dargah and pray for the state's prosperity.

The visits by Nitish Kumar and Tejashwi Yadav on Eid-Milad-un-Nabi brought messages of peace, communal harmony and Bihar’s development to the forefront amid the religious observances.
