Shubhankar Sharma finishes T-46 at Nexo Championship as Jamieson claims home win

Aberdeen (Scotland), Aug 24 (SocialNews.XYZ) Shubhankar Sharma signed off with an even-par 72 to finish tied 46th at the 2026 Nexo Championship at Trump International Golf Links in Aberdeen, Scotland.

Sharma's final round featured three birdies and three bogeys as he completed the tournament at four-over 292. His four rounds were 73-72-75-72. Fellow Indian Yuvraj Sandhu missed the cut earlier in the week.

Scotland's Scott Jamieson claimed his second DP World Tour title with a superb final-round 67, finishing at 11-under par and two shots clear of England's Matthew Jordan.

The 42-year-old made it a consecutive Scottish victory at Trump International Golf Links in Aberdeenshire, following Grant Forrest's success at the venue last year.

Jamieson began the final round three shots behind overnight leader Shaun Norris but quickly erased the deficit with three birdies on the front nine. Norris was subsequently handed a two-stroke penalty for breaching Rule 8.1, which relates to actions that improve conditions affecting a stroke, allowing Jamieson to take the outright lead around the turn.

The Scot strengthened his position with two more birdies at the start of the back nine. After dropping a shot at the 13th, he immediately responded with a birdie on the 14th to restore his advantage.

Jordan's bogey at the 17th further extended Jamieson's lead to three shots, and a closing par secured an emotional victory on home soil.

The victory came 5,005 days after Jamieson's maiden DP World Tour title at the 2012 Nelson Mandela Championship presented by ISPS HANDA. It also lifted him from 135th to 42nd in the Race to Dubai Rankings delivered by DP World and secured his DP World Tour playing rights for another two years.

Jordan finished runner-up at nine-under par after making a birdie at the final hole, while South Africa's Norris finished third at seven-under.

England's Andy Sullivan, Spain's Quim Vidal and Paraguay's Fabrizio Zanotti shared fourth place at six-under.

Richard Mansell produced the round of the day, firing a seven-under 65 to set a new course record at Trump International Golf Links. His effort earned him the $10,000 Nexo Course Record prize and helped him finish tied seventh.
