Bhopal, Aug 24 (SocialNews.XYZ) Union Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday announced the launch of ‘Mama Coaching Classes’ in Raisen for students preparing for competitive examinations, saying the initiative would provide quality coaching locally instead of students having to depend on expensive private coaching.
Chouhan announced this while addressing students at the Prem Sundar Meritorious Student Felicitation Ceremony in Raisen, where he honoured Class 10 and 12 toppers with laptops. On this occasion, he also inaugurated the Sandipani School and participated in the application process for the Azim Premji Foundation Girls’ Scholarship Scheme.
Under the coaching initiative, applications will be invited from September 10 to 15, followed by a written examination on September 20. After selection and interviews, classes are scheduled to begin on October 5. The programme will prepare students for MPPSC, SSC, banking and other competitive examinations conducted by the state and central governments.
“Instead of paying the fees of individual students, we have decided to provide quality coaching in Raisen itself,” Chouhan said, adding that online coaching would also be explored for students unable to secure direct admission.
He said education should not be restricted by economic circumstances and that government schools must provide facilities comparable to those available in private institutions. “Government schools should not just be buildings. They should become places where children can fulfil their dreams,” he said.
The Sandipani School in Raisen has been constructed for Rs 38.38 crore. Chouhan said such schools should have modern laboratories, libraries, smart classrooms, playgrounds and facilities for sports, music, dance and painting.
He also announced plans to provide skill training to young people according to the requirements of industries, noting that not every youth could secure a government job. ITIs and private institutions would be involved in the training, followed by employment fairs to facilitate placements.
Addressing the students, he said every child had the potential to succeed if provided confidence, guidance and opportunities. “Every child has immense intelligence, talent and the ability to succeed. Whether a boy or a girl, no child is weak,” he said.
During his visit, Chouhan also attended a meeting with senior administrative officials to review development works and implementation of government schemes in Raisen district.
