Karthik Subbaraj Announces Wedding Song From Dorothy As Raaja Sambhavam Begins With Keerthy Suresh

Filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj is giving his upcoming Tamil film Dorothy a musical beginning, and this one comes with a distinctly celebratory flavour. The filmmaker took to social media to share a lively video teasing the first song from the film, a wedding number composed by none other than legendary music composer Ilaiyaraaja.

Sharing the announcement, Subbaraj wrote, “Raaja Sambhavam begins with a Wedding song. Firstu Paattu ippo Wedding Paattu. Muhurtam naal - Aug 22nd.” With that, the filmmaker has confirmed that the first song from Dorothy will arrive on August 22, marking what he has aptly called the beginning of the “Raaja Sambhavam.”

The short teaser is packed with wedding energy. Traditional drummers, colourful celebrations, flower petals, dancing and ritual moments create an atmosphere that feels rooted in Tamil wedding traditions. Keerthy Suresh is prominently featured in the visuals, adding to the curiosity around her character and the world Subbaraj has created for the film.

Of course, the biggest talking point is the music. Having Ilaiyaraaja compose the wedding song gives the track an added layer of anticipation.
