Noida, July 24 (SocialNews.XYZ) The weather in the National Capital Region (NCR) is likely to remain pleasant for about a week, bringing relief from scorching heat and high humidity.
According to the latest forecast by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the sky will remain cloudy throughout the week. Most areas are expected to receive light rain or drizzle; however, heavy rains are unlikely for now. This will significantly lower the temperature and reduce discomfort due to humidity, it said.
On Friday, the maximum temperature is estimated to be 35 degrees Celsius and the minimum 25 degrees. Light rain could happen at a few places. Humidity levels are likely to range from a maximum of 80 per cent to a minimum of 60 per cent.
On July 25, the maximum temperature is likely to hover between 36 and 24 degrees Celsius. The IMD has predicted cloudy skies with the possibility of light rain or drizzle.
On July 26, the maximum temperature is likely to range between 37 and 25 degrees Celsius. The sky will remain cloudy throughout the day, with humidity levels ranging between 70 and 60 per cent.
The next few days of the week are also likely to be pleasant, with temperatures staying in the medium range. The maximum temperature is unlikely to cross 36 degrees Celsius, while the minimum is expected to stay around 25-26 degrees Celsius. The sky is likely to remain cloudy, with slight rain and drizzle in multiple areas.
According to the MeT dept, monsoon activity is currently subdued and therefore the likelihood of heavy or incessant rainfall in the NCR is low. However, the skies will remain overcast throughout the day, with the possibility of light rain in several areas.
The intermittent rains are likely to keep the temperatures and high humidity levels in check, bringing relief to the residents reeling under a long spell of humid heat in recent days.
