Mumbai, July 23 (SocialNews.XYZ) E-commerce company Meesho Limited on Friday reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 132.8 crore for the first quarter of FY27, while its revenue rose 48.3 per cent year-on-year, driven by strong growth in orders and transacting users.
The company posted a net loss of Rs 132.8 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, compared with a loss of Rs 289.3 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal (Q1 FY26), according to its stock exchange filing.
Revenue from operations increased to Rs 3,713 crore from Rs 2,504 crore a year earlier, it added in its filing.
“AI is becoming foundational across every layer of our business, from product discovery and seller growth to logistics and engineering,” Dhiresh Bansal, Chief Financial Officer at Meesho, said.
Meesho's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) loss stood at Rs 224.7 crore during the quarter, compared with a loss of Rs 264.4 crore in the year-ago period.
The company also announced an investment of Rs 75 crore in its subsidiary, Meesho Groceries, as it continues to strengthen its grocery business.
Operationally, Meesho's Net Merchandise Value (NMV) grew 34 per cent year-on-year to Rs 11,614 crore in the June quarter, while marketplace revenue increased 48 per cent to Rs 3,707 crore.
The company said its contribution margin expanded by 54 basis points sequentially to 4.6 per cent of NMV, while marketplace adjusted EBITDA improved to negative 1.2 per cent of NMV.
The platform's annual transacting users rose 29 per cent year-on-year to 274 million, while purchase frequency improved to 10.3 transactions per user on an annualised basis.
The total number of orders placed during the quarter also increased 29 per cent year-on-year to 725 million.
Meesho said its free cash flow over the last 12 months improved to negative Rs 537 crore from negative Rs 633 crore in the previous quarter.
Prepaid orders accounted for around 37 per cent of all shipped orders during the quarter.
Ahead of the earnings announcement, Meesho's shares closed 0.48 per cent lower at Rs 188.95 apiece on the NSE, compared with a 0.53 per cent decline in the benchmark Nifty index. The stock has gained nearly 5 per cent so far this year.
