Patna, July 23 (SocialNews.XYZ) Student anger over the alleged NEET paper leak and recent police action against protesters spilled onto the streets of Bihar’s Munger on Thursday, as thousands of students participated in a large protest march organised under the banners of various student organisations.
The demonstrators condemned the alleged lathi‑charge on students during protests in Delhi and Patna and demanded accountability over the examination controversy.
The march began near DJ College, where more than a thousand students assembled carrying placards and raising slogans against the Central Government. From there, the procession passed through the city’s main roads before culminating at Munger Fort.
Throughout the rally, protesters demanded a transparent and time‑bound investigation into the alleged NEET paper leak, strict action against those responsible, and measures to safeguard the integrity of competitive examinations. They also called for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and criticised the alleged use of force against students during demonstrations in Delhi and Patna.
Anticipating a large turnout, the district administration made elaborate security arrangements. A substantial contingent of police personnel was deployed along the entire protest route, while senior officers closely monitored the situation to ensure law and order.
Despite the large gathering and strong slogans, the protest concluded peacefully, with no reports of violence or damage to public property.
Addressing the gathering, protesting students said their movement would continue until a fair investigation into the alleged NEET paper leak is completed, those responsible are brought to justice, and students receive what they described as a transparent and credible examination process.
The protesters also warned that if their demands are not addressed promptly, the agitation would be expanded and intensified in the coming days.
Beyond the examination issue, the demonstration reflected broader dissatisfaction among sections of students over the alleged police action against protesters in Delhi and Patna.
While Thursday’s march concluded without incident under heavy police deployment, student organisations indicated that further protests could follow if their demands remain unmet.
