New Delhi, July 20 (SocialNews.XYZ) Delhi BJP President Harsh Malhotra said that the events witnessed in the national capital on Monday in the name of a youth movement were nothing but the outcome of the negative politics of the Aam Aadmi Party, the Congress, the Communist parties, and other opposition parties.
He said that opposition parties, having suffered repeated electoral defeats across various states, have become completely frustrated and are now attempting to advance their political interests by misusing youth movements.
Malhotra stated that the agitation launched in the name of the NEET examination has now been reduced to a political conspiracy led by the youth wings of the Aam Aadmi Party and other opposition parties.
He said the agitation no longer represents the students genuinely associated with the NEET movement.
The Delhi BJP President appealed to the country's youth not to become pawns of these defeated and frustrated political parties, but to remain focused on their education and careers.
During the day, over 70 people were detained and multiple FIRs registered by the Delhi Police in the aftermath of violent, unruly protests by CJP activists and their political supporters on Parliament Street and nearby high-security locations.
The clashes left at least 50 law enforcers injured, an official said.
The police said that they are examining CCTV footage and mobile videos to register FIRs against those who indulged in unapproved and violent demonstrations on Parliament Street and other locations in the high-security zone.
“The Delhi Police is registering separate FIRs based on the complaints they are receiving from different places,” said an official.
Trouble broke out in the forenoon when supporters of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), which has been staging protests at Jantar Mantar since June 20 over alleged irregularities in NEET, tried to march towards Parliament without permission.
The protesters broke through barricades and turned violent, prompting a pushback by Delhi Police personnel, who used mild force and tear gas to prevent them from illegally moving towards Parliament. The clashes resulted in injuries to some protesters and at least 50 police personnel.
