Devendra Fadnavis should get chance to lead India: Maha Minister

Mumbai, July 15 (SocialNews.XYZ) Maharashtra Agriculture Minister Dattatray Bharane on Wednesday publicly expressed his wish to see Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis take up a national leadership role in the future.

Speaking in the presence of CM Fadnavis during a felicitation event organised by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Kisan Morcha in Mumbai, Bharane hinted at broader horizons for the senior leader while emphasising the upcoming auspicious occasion of Ashadhi Ekadashi.

Addressing the gathering, the Agriculture Minister praised the Chief Minister's contribution but noted that Maharashtra needs to look toward national prominence.

He said that good leaders must remain in Maharashtra for the collective future, but they cannot act selfishly.

He added that today, Maharashtra remains somewhat distant from the throne of Delhi.

Bharane stated that on the upcoming Ashadhi Ekadashi, they will make an earnest plea to Lord Pandurang (Vitthal) to ensure that 'Deva Bhau' (Devendra Fadnavis) gets the opportunity to lead the country at the right time.

The event was organised to felicitate CM Fadnavis following the announcement of the Punyshrok Ahilyadevi Holkar Farmer Loan Waiver Scheme.

Bharane urged the alliance's grassroots workers to ensure that news of this crucial policy reaches the ultimate beneficiaries.

Highlighting the scale of the relief package, Bharane noted that the state's latest loan waiver is set to directly benefit over 56 lakh farmers across Maharashtra. The government is injecting approximately Rs 25,000 crore annually to support agricultural pump sets up to 7.5 horsepower.

Reflecting on the heavy crop damages caused by unseasonal rains and floods last year, Bharane credited both Chief Minister Fadnavis and NCP leader Ajit Pawar for their swift ground response.

The minister added that running a government requires immense financial planning, and while it is easy to talk, it is incredibly difficult to execute.

He said even without an election around the corner, leaders like Devendra Fadnavis, Sunetra Pawar, and Eknath Shinde stood firmly behind the farmers to help them rebuild their lives, urging Mahayuti alliance workers to actively promote the state government's welfare schemes ahead of the upcoming political season.
