Vedika Pinto Calls Musafir Cafe a “Healing Journey”; Says She Can’t Wait to Watch the Series as an Audience

Actress Vedika Pinto believes Musafir Cafe is much more than a romantic drama. For her, the upcoming Netflix series became a deeply personal and healing experience, both on and off screen. Speaking at the trailer preview press meet in Mumbai alongside Vikrant Massey, Mahima Makwana, creator Sharanya Rajgopal and the rest of the team, Vedika reflected on the warmth shared by the cast and crew and the emotional journey they experienced while bringing the story to life.

Opening up about working on the series, Vedika praised the collaborative atmosphere on set and credited the entire team for making the experience memorable. "We had such a wonderful working dynamic among everyone: the Netflix team, Tanya, Shikha, Karishma (of course), Sharanya, Richa, and the three of us as actors. I think it was such a wholesome experience right from the start," she said.

The actress explained that one of the reasons Musafir Cafe feels so relatable is because everyone involved connected with its emotional core in their own way. "As Vikrant was saying, we have all been travelers in our own lives. We've all likely had some connection to the emotions felt throughout the course of the show."

For Vedika, portraying her character wasn't just another acting assignment—it became an emotionally enriching journey that stayed with her beyond the shoot. "So, for me personally, it was a very healing journey—there was so much love, encouragement, and empowerment that I think we all experienced at various moments."

She added that while every actor had a unique relationship with the story, the shared creative experience brought everyone together. "We each had our own individual journeys with the show, as well as a collaborative one."

Despite being one of the lead actors, Vedika admitted that she's just as eager to watch the finished series as the audience. "I also can't wait to watch the show. As an audience member, I want to experience everything the team set out to make the audience feel. I'm excited both as an actor and as a viewer."

Based on Divya Prakash Dubey's bestselling Hindi novel, Musafir Cafe explores themes of love, heartbreak, healing and second chances. The story follows Chander (Vikrant Massey), a software engineer and aspiring writer whose life is shaped by two women—Sudha (Vedika Pinto), the passionate love from his past, and Preeti (Mahima Makwana), who offers him hope and stability as he tries to rebuild his life in the hills.

Created and written by Sharanya Rajgopal and directed by Ruchir Arun, the romantic drama unfolds across the picturesque landscapes of Mussoorie and Bhopal. The ensemble cast also features Adil Hussain, Rajeev Siddhartha, Loveleen Mishra, and Sadiya Siddiqui, while the series also marks Vikrant Massey's debut as a producer under his banner, Homemade Movies.

With its emotionally layered storytelling, scenic backdrop and relatable characters, Musafir Cafe promises to be a heartfelt exploration of love, loss and self-discovery. And if Vedika Pinto's experience is any indication, audiences can expect a story that doesn't just entertain—it heals.
