Jaipur, July 10 (SocialNews.XYZ) Acting on the directions of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Headquarters, the ACB Jaipur City-IV Unit on Friday conducted a trap operation and caught two officials of the Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation Ltd. (RIICO) red-handed while allegedly accepting bribes.
The accused have been identified as Anjay Vishwakarma, Senior Deputy General Manager, RIICO, Ajmer, who was caught accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000, and Kamlesh Gurjar, 26, Junior Assistant at the RIICO Sub-Unit, Beawar, who was caught accepting a bribe of Rs 35,000.
Director General, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Govind Gupta, said that the ACB Jaipur City-IV Unit had received a complaint alleging that the complainant was being asked to pay a bribe for processing the lease deed and land-use conversion relating to an industrial plot allotted in the RIICO Industrial Area, Beawar.
During verification, it was found that on July 7, 2026, Anjay Vishwakarma, Senior Deputy General Manager, RIICO, Ajmer, had allegedly demanded and agreed to accept a bribe of Rs 50,000 for completing the work.
In a separate instance, on July 6, 2026, Kamlesh Gurjar, Junior Assistant at the RIICO Sub-Unit, Beawar, had allegedly demanded Rs 35,000 from the complainant for the same purpose.
Following verification of the complaint, the ACB laid a trap under the supervision of Om Prakash Meena, Deputy Inspector General-II, Jaipur. The operation was executed by Manoj Kumar Gupta, Additional Superintendent of Police, ACB Jaipur City-IV, and Gyan Prakash Naval, Additional Superintendent of Police, ACB Jaipur City-III.
Both accused were caught red-handed while allegedly accepting bribes of Rs 50,000 and Rs 35,000, respectively. Questioning of the accused is underway under the supervision of Director General Govind Gupta, Additional Director General Smita Srivastava and Inspector General S. Parimala.
The ACB is continuing legal proceedings and will register a case under the provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act for further investigation.
The Anti-Corruption Bureau has appealed to the public to support its anti-corruption campaign by reporting instances of corruption through its 24x7 toll-free helpline 1064 or WhatsApp helpline 9413502834.
The Bureau has assured citizens that it will extend full assistance in ensuring that their legitimate work is completed without the payment of bribes.
