Verified Reviewer Profiles and Identity Confirmation to Curb Fake Reviews

A Unique 20-Category Public Reviewer System Bringing Media, YouTube Reviewers, and Public Opinions onto One Platform

Hyderabad, June 3, 2026: Movie Reviews Optimized (MRO), a website and mobile app designed to bring transparency, accountability, and credibility to the field of movie reviews, was launched on June 3 at Prasad Labs, Hyderabad.

The platform was launched by Prasanna Srinivas Sarakadam, Chairman of Millets National Media Portal, http://www.millets.news">www.millets.news. Film enthusiasts and members of the Millets National Media Portal participated in the event.

With fake reviews, anonymous ratings, and intentionally influenced opinions increasing across platforms, MRO has been created with the objective of presenting opinions from real and verified individuals to the public.

The key feature of MRO is its Aadhaar-based reviewer verification system. Individuals who wish to register as reviewers must first complete Aadhaar OTP-based identity verification through DigiLocker. Only after approval from the MRO administration team will they be allowed to post reviews. To prevent fake accounts and duplicate profiles, MRO is implementing a “One Person – One Verified Profile” policy.

Speaking on the occasion, Prasanna Srinivas Sarakadam said, “Today, movie audiences see thousands of ratings across multiple platforms. However, there is very little accountability regarding who wrote those ratings and whether they are genuine opinions or not. To address this situation, we have launched MRO with the aim of creating a transparent and verified movie review system.”

MRO brings print media, television media, digital media platforms, popular movie review websites, verified YouTube reviewers, and public reviews onto a single platform.

In addition, MRO has created 20 special public reviewer categories to represent different sections of society. Individuals from categories such as farmers, doctors, teachers, students, journalists, government employees, IT professionals, businesspeople, sportspersons, senior citizens, NRIs, influencers, and others will be able to register and share their opinions. MRO aims to build a network of 2,000 verified public reviewers, with 100 reviewers from each category.

For every movie, MRO will display three types of ratings:

• Average rating of media reviews
• Average rating of public reviews
• Overall MRO rating

This will help audiences understand media opinions and public opinions separately before making a decision to watch a movie.

Explaining the objective of MRO, Prasanna Srinivas Sarakadam said, “Our goal is not only to aggregate the opinions of media organizations and YouTube reviewers, but also to develop ordinary audiences into responsible reviewers. Through the 20-category public reviewer system, we are bringing the voices of different sections of society onto one platform.”

Every reviewer on MRO will have a dedicated profile. The public will be able to view their review history and ratings. Reviewer activities will be continuously monitored by the administration team and jury members. Accounts that violate the platform’s rules may be suspended or removed.

MRO has currently started with Telugu movies and will expand to other Indian language film industries in the future, according to the organizers.
