Lucknow, May 18 (SocialNews.XYZ) Uttar Pradesh Minister and Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) chief Om Prakash Rajbhar on Monday launched a sharp attack on Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav, accusing him of favouring members of the Yadav community during the SP government’s tenure in Uttar Pradesh.
Rajbhar referred to claims linked to the 2015 Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) controversy and alleged irregularities in appointments made under the Samajwadi Party regime.
In a post on X, Rajbhar said, “First of all, it appears that Akhilesh Yadav is not doing well at all. I ask him a question, and he starts hurling abuses at the sadhus and saints. Answer my question! Why are you dragging the sadhus and saints into this?”
He further advised the SP leadership to refrain from making remarks against religious figures.
“Take a piece of advice from me: you and your leaders need to stop abusing sadhus and saints at every opportunity. Otherwise, if you think things have gone badly for you so far, you people will have to face even greater curses in the future,” Rajbhar said.
The SBSP leader, who has often projected himself as a representative of non-Yadav OBC communities, also referred to a controversy surrounding the appointment of the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission chairman during the Akhilesh Yadav-led government.
“Second thing. Akhilesh Yadav ji, now that you’re in the Opposition, you must mostly be free, so recall those old days and expose that 2013 scandal -- how you appointed a person accused in an attempted murder case to the chairmanship of the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission. And the shocking part is that you did this by cheating over 80 qualified candidates,” Rajbhar alleged.
He further stated, “But your brazen appointment was declared ‘illegal’, ‘arbitrary’, and a violation of Article 316 of the Constitution by the bench of the Hon’ble Chief Justice D.Y. Chandrachud of the Allahabad High Court on October 14, 2015.”
Rajbhar also raised questions over the selection pattern in UPPCS examinations conducted during the SP government.
“During your government’s tenure with all that tampering in appointments, you folks pulled off some massive stunts... Your formula was such a hit that out of 86, a whopping 56 Yadavs became SDMs?” he questioned.
Appealing sarcastically to Akhilesh Yadav, Rajbhar added, “With folded hands, I request you to tell us that secret too, so that boys from Rajbhar, Chauhan, Nishad, Bind, Kevat, Mallah, Kashyap, Prajapati, Pal, Lohar, Badhai, Kahar, Dhimar, Kushwaha, Maurya, Shakya, Dhobi, Saini, and all Bahujan castes can also become SDMs.”
Continuing his criticism, Rajbhar mocked the SP’s PDA political formula and said, “Akhilesh ji, stop just hunting for ‘Yadavs’ under the cover of your PDA, that is, ‘Party of Dimple and Akhilesh’.”
