She thanked Yeola artisans, designer Nachiket Barve, festival director Thierry Frémaux, and several collaborators who contributed to the project. Calling the decision “not easy,” she acknowledged the emotional and artistic investment behind the journey but emphasized that national interest should always take priority over personal opportunities.

The custom-made Paithani saree was reportedly designed as a tribute to Maharashtra’s cultural identity and traditional weaving craftsmanship.
