Trump vows to continue public events

Washington, April 27 (SocialNews.XYZ) Donald Trump will continue to attend public events across the country despite repeated assassination attempts, the White House said Monday, signalling that security threats will not alter his schedule or approach.

Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said the president remains determined to engage directly with Americans, even after the latest attempted attack at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner.

“As you heard from President Trump, he does not want these deranged lunatics and these grave acts of political violence to change our American way of life,” Leavitt told reporters.

She described the president’s stance as deliberate and resolute, rejecting calls for him to scale back appearances or remain confined to secure locations.

“It’d be very easy for him to just hunker down here at the White House, where he knows he’s safe,” she said. “But the president wants to be out across the country. He wants to go across the country to meet with Americans.”

Leavitt said Trump is expected to participate in a series of high-profile national events in the coming months.

“He wants to celebrate the 250th birthday of our nation’s anniversary this summer,” she said. “As you know, we’re gearing up for a big UFC fight here on the South Lawn.”

She added that the president is “undeterred” and intends to remain visible.

“There are many exciting events… I know the president wants to be part of and will be part of moving forward,” she said.

The remarks come after what officials described as the third major assassination attempt against Trump in recent years. The latest incident triggered a swift response from the United States Secret Service, with the suspect stopped before reaching the main venue.

Leavitt said Trump’s conduct during the incident reflected his leadership approach.

“The president’s calm in the face of chaos… was really remarkable to witness,” she said, recalling the moments after shots were fired.

She said Trump sought to return to the stage even as security personnel moved him to safety.

“He was pushing Secret Service and law enforcement to allow him to address,” she said. “That really… gives the country the type of strength that we need.”

The White House also framed the president’s decision to maintain public engagements as a message to the country.

“We can’t allow these crazy people to let us be afraid,” Leavitt said, describing what she said would be the president’s message to those shaken by the incident. “We have to keep moving forward, showing up, doing our job.”

Officials acknowledged that security reviews are ongoing but stressed that the broader goal is to preserve normal public life.

The administration is expected to assess future event protocols, including venue choices and attendance, particularly for large gatherings outside the White House.

Still, Leavitt indicated that any adjustments would not fundamentally change Trump’s approach.

“He’s undeterred in that way,” she said.
