Karan Veer Mehra Wraps ‘Silaa’, Teases Intense Big-Screen Turn as Zehraak

Actor and reality TV winner Karan Veer Mehra has officially wrapped up shooting for his upcoming film Silaa, sharing the update with fans through a celebratory social media post captioned, “Final wrap #Silaa.” The announcement came alongside a series of group photos from the sets, capturing the team’s excitement as they marked the end of the film’s shoot with a large banner reading “SILAA IT’S A WRAP.”

 

The images offer a glimpse into Mehra’s transformation for the film. In one shot, he is seen wearing a “ZEHRAAK” t-shirt, while another features him in a “SILAA” shirt—hinting at his intense role as the antagonist Zehraak. With a fiery and dramatic visual theme surrounding his character, fans are already buzzing with anticipation to see Mehra embrace a darker, more powerful on-screen persona. The post quickly drew reactions filled with excitement and pride, though some followers noted that an earlier detailed caption had been deleted.

 

Directed by Omung Kumar, Silaa is described as a romantic-action drama that explores themes of love, loss, and redemption. Known for films like Mary Kom and Sarbjit, Kumar brings his signature emotional depth to what is being called a “hauntingly beautiful” story of love gone wrong. The film is slated for a worldwide theatrical release in 2026, adding to the growing anticipation around the project.

 

The film also stars Harshvardhan Rane as Virat and Sadia Khateeb in the titular role, with singer Ipsitaa Khullar making her acting debut. Backed by Zee Studios along with producer Rahul Bali and team, Silaa promises a blend of romance and action with emotionally charged storytelling.
