At the trailer launch in Mumbai, Medha joined co star Avinash Tiwary and director Prasshant Jha to introduce audiences to Ginny, a character she believes will strike an instant chord with viewers. During the interaction, she was asked to break down her role, and her answer brought a burst of energy to the room.
She said, “As I mentioned, Ginny is a quintessential Delhi girl—and I’m from Delhi myself! Ginny is an absolute bundle of energy; she embodies that trendy word people are using these days—chatpata (zesty). You know, like a chatpati kurta or something similar—she is a chatpati girl! She possesses every flavor imaginable: she can be incredibly sweet, yet she can also be quite feisty and playful—she even manages to intimidate the person standing across from her”
Medha went on to describe the emotional layers of her character, adding, “She really has every shade to her personality. I feel that girls are going to relate to her character a great deal. She stands up for herself; she doesn't let anyone walk all over her. Yet, at the very same time, she gives her absolute all—with total sincerity and passion—when it comes to nurturing a relationship or showering someone with love. So, personally, I find her to be an absolutely adorable girl. I truly hope that all of you fall just as deeply in love with Ginny as I have”
The film, directed and written by Prasshant Jha and produced by Vinod Bachchan, continues the spiritual sequel format, focusing on what happens after the fairytale phase ends. With Avinash Tiwary as Sunny and Medha as Ginny, the story dives into the chaos of married life, where misunderstandings, white lies, and emotional clashes turn everyday moments into comedy filled drama.
Supported by actors like Lillete Dubey and Sudhir Pandey, the film promises a layered yet fun take on relationships. With Ginny’s fiery personality at its center, Ginny Weds Sunny 2 aims to deliver a character audiences can laugh with, argue with, and ultimately fall in love with.
