The entertainment industry is mourning the untimely demise of Rahul Banerjee, who tragically passed away at the age of 43 following a drowning incident while shooting for his upcoming series. The unfortunate incident took place on March 29, 2026, at Talsari near Digha, leaving colleagues and fans in deep shock.

 

 

According to reports, the actor was filming for his television project Bhole Baba Par Karega when he was struck by a strong wave and swept into the sea. The situation escalated quickly, prompting immediate rescue efforts by the crew present at the location.

 

Rahul was rushed to a nearby hospital, located approximately 10 to 12 kilometres from Talsari Beach. Sources indicate that he was still showing signs of responsiveness while being taken for emergency treatment, raising hopes among those around him. However, despite the efforts, doctors declared him dead at around 6:10 pm on Sunday.

 

The incident occurred in Talsari, a coastal area near the Odisha–West Bengal border, known for its scenic yet unpredictable tides. The tragedy has once again highlighted the risks associated with outdoor shoots, especially in challenging natural environments.
