Adivi Sesh Locks New Release Date for Dacoit With Striking Poster Reveal

Actor and writer Adivi Sesh has finally revealed the new release date for his much-awaited action thriller Dacoit. Sharing a gritty new poster on social media, Sesh confirmed that the bilingual film will arrive in theatres worldwide on April 10, 2026. The actor captioned the announcement with a playful line, “Goldfish on April 10. In Theaters Worldwide,” accompanied by tags for his co-stars and collaborators.

 

The mysterious “Goldfish” reference and a cheeky wink emoji in his caption quickly caught fans’ attention. Many followers interpreted it as Sesh humorously acknowledging the multiple postponements the film has faced. Replies to the post ranged from friendly teasing about the shifting dates to praise for the intense new poster, which features Sesh in a raw and dramatic look as a chained prisoner.

 

Dacoit stars Mrunal Thakur as the female lead and is directed by cinematographer turned filmmaker Shaneil Deo. The film has generated strong curiosity among audiences not only because of its cast but also because Sesh himself has co-written the story and screenplay alongside Deo. Known for backing story driven projects, the actor has built a reputation for being deeply involved in the writing process of his films.

 

Adding another intriguing layer to the project is the presence of acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Kashyap in a crucial role. Sesh was last seen in the crime thriller HIT The Second Case directed by Sailesh Kolanu. In the film, he played police officer Krishna Dev, also known as KD, who investigates a disturbing series of crimes as part of the Homicide Intervention Team in Andhra Pradesh. The performance further strengthened Sesh’s image as an actor drawn to intense, investigative stories.
