Sudhanshu Pandey Calls Social Media A Boon And A Curse At Do Duniya Ek Dil Launch

Actors Sudhanshu Pandey, Rachi Sharma, and Vikram Singh Chauhan recently attended the launch of the upcoming television drama Do Duniya Ek Dil. The show promises to explore the complex relationship between the digital world and real life emotions, bringing a socially relevant narrative to audiences.

Speaking about the theme of the show, Sudhanshu Pandey reflected on the changing nature of human behavior across different eras. He said, “Our eras are Satya Yuga, Treta Yuga, Dwapar Yuga, and Kali Yuga. In Satya Yuga, gods and demons lived in different realms. Then came Treta Yuga. In Treta Yuga, gods and demons came together in the same realm. Then came Dwapar Yuga. This also became emotional. Then came Dwapar Yuga. In Dwapar Yuga, gods and demons lived in the same house. And the era we are living in now is called Kali Yuga. And in Kali Yuga, gods and demons live within the same person.”

He further highlighted the impact of technology and digital platforms in modern society. “So, today, this digital medium or technology—consider it a blessing of science upon us or whatever you call it—is equally a threat to us, and no one can escape it, no matter who it is. We are artists. We are portraying on screen that this could be a threat to the general public. How many people click too hastily, and thousands are withdrawn from their bank accounts. But there are also many people whose savings, accumulated over years, are drained in one go, and they then resort to drastic measures. Many people can't withstand it. So, I think this effort, this show, Do Duniya Ek Dil, is, I think, the biggest effort by any channel to bring social awareness to one of the biggest issues existing in our society today. It's a boon, but it's also a curse I always say.”

Sudhanshu also praised the creators and the channel for addressing a socially relevant subject through storytelling. “So, first of all, congratulations to Colors, Sameer Fazeela, Abhijeet, for your thought. You guys have done a brilliant thing, and we always tell human stories; our human story is always in every show. I recently did a show about relationships and their dynamics. The story was entirely based on relationships. But I don't think this kind of socially relevant story has been attempted before, and we've woven it so beautifully into a story of relationships. Abhijeet has written it beautifully. So, I think this is a huge step for us.”

He added that he feels proud to be part of a project with such a strong message. “I think, as an actor, I'm very, very proud to be a part of this story. It is absolutely fantastic; it will go down in history. I think because of the kind of subject matter there is, and I'm very glad that you guys chose me to send out, the biggest message may not be in real life, but at least I can play evil on screen and expose the evil nature of this medium. And yes, like I said, it's a human story at the end of the day, and it's going to be a love story. And the villain in it will be Baldev Singh Chauhan, so just be careful. If you buy an apartment in his building, then be careful, he embezzles a lot of money. He does a lot of mischief. Be careful of him.”

Set in a world where everything from shopping to relationships happens online, Do Duniya Ek Dil explores the contrast between digital identities and real-life emotions. The show presents a gripping love story where virtual validation often clashes with genuine human connection.

Produced by SOL Productions for Colors TV, the series stars Vikram Singh Chauhan as Shivaay, Rachi Sharma as Aadhya, and Sudhanshu Pandey as Baldev Singh. With its mix of romance, drama, and social awareness, the show aims to highlight the growing impact of technology on modern relationships.
