Washington, March 10 (SocialNews.XYZ) The United States has struck more than 5,000 targets across Iran in the first ten days of a sweeping military campaign aimed at dismantling the country’s security infrastructure, according to details released by US Central Command.
The Operation Epic Fury, began at 1:15 a.m. on February 28, 2026, and involves a wide range of American air, naval, and missile systems targeting Iranian military capabilities across the country.
US Central Command said the campaign was launched at the direction of the President of the United States, with forces tasked to strike sites linked to the Iranian regime’s security apparatus and locations that pose an imminent threat.
According to the operational summary, the campaign has already hit over 5,000 targets, while 50 Iranian vessels have been damaged or destroyed during the first ten days of fighting.
The operation involves a broad mix of American military assets. These include long-range bombers such as B-1 bombers, B-2 stealth bombers, and B-52 bombers, along with advanced fighter aircraft, including F-15, F-16, F-18, F-22 stealth fighters, and F-35 stealth fighters.
Attack aircraft such as the A-10 and electronic warfare platforms, including the EA-18G electronic attack aircraft are also participating in the operation.
Intelligence and surveillance aircraft are providing critical support. These include the U-2 Dragon Lady, RC-135 reconnaissance aircraft, and P-8 maritime patrol aircraft, which help track military targets and monitor Iranian activity.
Unmanned systems are also playing a major role. The campaign includes MQ-9 Reaper drones and LUCAS drones, which provide surveillance and strike capabilities.
Missile defence systems such as the Patriot interceptor missile systems and THAAD anti-ballistic missile systems are being used to protect US forces and allied assets in the region.
Naval power forms another pillar of the operation. Nuclear-powered aircraft carriers and guided-missile destroyers are supporting the air campaign while refuelling ships sustain long-range operations.
Logistical support aircraft, including C-17 Globemaster cargo aircraft and C-130 cargo aircraft, are moving equipment and supplies needed to sustain the large-scale military effort.
The targets being struck include a broad range of Iranian military facilities. These include command and control centres, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps headquarters buildings, intelligence sites and integrated air defence systems.
Other targets include ballistic missile sites, anti-ship missile locations, Iranian navy ships and submarines, military communication capabilities, and facilities linked to ballistic missile and drone manufacturing, according to the CENTCOM operational overview.
Additional systems supporting the campaign include counter-drone systems, airborne early warning aircraft, communication relay platforms and counter rocket, artillery and mortar defence systems, highlighting the scale of the operation.
The operational summary also notes that the mission includes “special capabilities we can’t list here,” suggesting that classified systems may also be in use.
