At the heart of the sequel is Ranveer Singh, who reprises his role as undercover agent Jaskirat Singh Rangi. This time, the character is completely embedded within the criminal underworld under the alias Hamza Ali Mazari. The trailer hints that after the death of gangster Rehman Dakait — played in the first film by Akshaye Khanna — Hamza has climbed the ranks in Lyari, Karachi, earning the feared title of “Lyari ka Badshah.”
While the first film focused largely on Rangi’s infiltration into a crime syndicate, the sequel expands the narrative into a much larger national security crisis. Rangi’s mission now revolves around dismantling a dangerous terror network from within. A key figure in this deadly game appears to be Major Iqbal, portrayed by Arjun Rampal, setting up a high-stakes confrontation that could decide the fate of the entire operation.
The trailer also highlights the film’s powerful ensemble cast. Sanjay Dutt steps in as the fierce law enforcement officer SP Chaudhary Aslam, while R. Madhavan appears as Ajay Sanyal, adding another intriguing layer to the narrative. Packed with rapid shootouts, covert exchanges, and intense urban combat, the trailer moves at a relentless pace, with the visuals powered by a remixed version of the energetic track “Ari Ari” by Bombay Rockers.
The trailer ends with a chilling line delivered by Ranveer Singh’s character that captures the geopolitical tension driving the story: “Ab Pakistan ka mustakbil, Hindustan tey karega.” With its high-octane action and strong patriotic undertones, Dhurandhar: The Revenge appears ready to raise the bar for spy thrillers in Indian cinema.
The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on March 19, 2026, strategically arriving during the festive window of Eid, Gudi Padwa, and Ugadi. Releasing in multiple languages including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, the film aims for a massive pan-India reach. Its predecessor Dhurandhar, which released on December 5 last year, became the highest-grossing film of 2025 and even surpassed Pushpa 2: The Rule to claim the record for the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time.
