Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh Moves Release Date, Set for Ugadi Box Office Clash

The makers of Ustaad Bhagat Singh have officially announced a new release date for the much-awaited action entertainer starring Pawan Kalyan. The film, which was earlier scheduled to hit theatres on March 26, will now release a week earlier on March 19, 2026. The announcement was made through the film’s official social media handles, creating a fresh wave of excitement among fans.

 

Sharing the update, the makers wrote that the film will arrive just in time for festive celebrations, as the new date coincides with Ugadi. Their post declared, “Ustad massacre this Ugadi. Our USTAAD arrives a week early to spark massive celebrations at the box office,” signaling confidence in the film’s strong theatrical appeal.

 

The shift in release date means the film will now face a major box office clash with Dhurandhar: The Revenge, the upcoming action spectacle directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh. With both films targeting the same festive window, the competition is expected to be intense, drawing huge attention from audiences across India.

 

Directed by Harish Shankar, Ustaad Bhagat Singh is an adaptation of the Tamil blockbuster Theri, originally directed by Atlee and starring Vijay. The Telugu version has been in production since 2023 and promises a powerful mix of action, drama, and emotional storytelling.

 

Alongside Pawan Kalyan, the film also features Sreeleela and Raashii Khanna in key roles. The soundtrack is composed by Devi Sri Prasad, who has delivered several chart-topping albums in recent years. Cinematography is handled by Ayananka Bose, while editing duties are taken care of by Ujjwal Kulkarni.

 

Pawan Kalyan was last seen in Hari Hara Veera Mallu, which released in July 2025 and featured Bobby Deol as the antagonist. With Ustaad Bhagat Singh now arriving earlier than planned, fans are eagerly waiting to see the star return to the big screen in another high-octane role.

 

With two big-ticket action films arriving on the same day, the Ugadi box office is shaping up to be one of the most exciting cinematic showdowns of 2026.
