Yash’s ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups’ Postponed to June 2026 Amid Global Uncertainty

Fans of Yash will have to hold their excitement a little longer. His much-anticipated action thriller Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups, which was earlier scheduled to hit theatres on March 19, has now been postponed to June 4, 2026. The makers cited rising tensions in the Middle East and the resulting global uncertainty as the key reason behind the delay.

 

The team had been gearing up for a grand promotional rollout. A large-scale trailer launch event was planned in Bengaluru on March 8, with media personnel flying in from across the country. The first single from the film, titled ‘Tabaahi,’ was also lined up for release on March 2. However, in light of the evolving situation, the producers decided to pause all promotional activities and reassess the timing of the worldwide release.

 

In an official statement, the production houses shared that after years of “dedicated labor,” they were eager to bring the film to audiences in March. However, they acknowledged that the “current uncertainty, especially in the Middle East,” would affect their ability to reach the widest possible audience globally. Calling it a “difficult but carefully considered decision,” the team confirmed the new release date and signed off with a hopeful, “See you at the movies.”

 

Directed by Geetu Mohandas and co-written by Yash himself, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups promises a gritty, stylized cinematic experience. The film features an ensemble cast including Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria in key roles, adding star power to the ambitious project.

 

Shot simultaneously in Kannada and English, the film will also release in dubbed versions across Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam markets, underlining its global scale. With its new June 4, 2026 date locked in, anticipation is only expected to build further. For now, fans may have to wait — but if the buzz is anything to go by, the fairy tale for grown-ups is only getting bigger.
