Shahid Kapoor and Vishal Bhardwaj’s O’Romeo Set to Thrill This Valentine’s Day

Bollywood is kicking off 2026 with high-octane excitement as Shahid Kapoor gears up to headline O’Romeo, an action-musical thriller set to release on Valentine’s Day, February 13, 2026. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, the film promises a perfect blend of romance, grit, and cinematic spectacle.

 

Director Vishal Bhardwaj reunites with Shahid Kapoor for the fourth time after their acclaimed collaborations in Kaminey, Haider, and Rangoon. For the first time, Shahid shares the screen with Triptii Dimri, forming an intriguing lead pair set against a backdrop of crime and romance.

 

Set in post-independence Mumbai, O’Romeo delves into the underworld and the criminal world of a bygone era, reportedly inspired by the life of gangster Hussain Ustara. The film is shaping up to be a stylish action thriller interwoven with a romantic narrative and musical sequences, staying true to Vishal Bhardwaj’s signature storytelling style.

 

The ensemble cast also features Bollywood veterans Nana Patekar, Randeep Hooda, Vikrant Massey, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Avinash Tiwary, adding weight to the gripping storyline. Disha Patani is set to make a special appearance in a dance number, adding a dash of glamour to the film.

 

Principal photography began in January 2025 and wrapped in Spain and Mumbai by August 2025. As of late December, the film is in its final post-production stage, with a quick patch shoot for action and dialogue sequences scheduled on December 28, 2025, at Vrundavan Studios in Mumbai.

 

With its Valentine’s Day release, O’Romeo promises to combine intense action, a gripping underworld saga, and a romantic twist, making it one of the most anticipated films of 2026. Fans are already eagerly awaiting Shahid Kapoor’s return in this powerful and stylish avatar.
