Directed by Sriram Raghavan, Ikkis is a biographical war drama chronicling the heroic last battle of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra recipient. At just 21, Khetarpal destroyed multiple Pakistani tanks during the 1971 Indo-Pak War before sacrificing his life, leaving behind an enduring legacy of bravery.
The trailer features intense tank warfare sequences, emotional family moments, and a stellar cast bringing the story to life. Veteran actor Dharmendra portrays Khetarpal’s father with heartfelt gravitas, while Agastya Nanda, Abhishek Bachchan’s nephew, takes the lead as the young war hero. Other notable actors in the film include Jaideep Ahlawat, Deepak Dobriyal, Vivaan Shah, and Rahul Dev, creating a powerful ensemble.
One of the most striking moments in the trailer is Khetarpal’s courageous stand during the Battle of Basantar, famously radioing, “No sir, I will not abandon my tank. My gun is still working well.” The film’s realistic depiction of warfare, combined with emotional family narratives, highlights themes of conviction, patriotism, and sacrifice.
The technical team behind Ikkis also contributes significantly to the film’s authenticity, with Arijit Biswas, Pooja Ladha Surti, Dinesh Vijan, Binny Padda, Poonam Shivdasani, Amitabh Bhattacharya, and Anil Mehta bringing their expertise in production, writing, and cinematography.
