Munmun Dutta Condemns Bondi Beach Attack, Shares Disturbing Footage on Social Media

Actress Munmun Dutta, best known for her role in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, expressed outrage over the Bondi Beach shooting in Sydney, Australia, on December 14, 2025. On X, she wrote, “And it happens again. It infuriates me to the core to hear about it. Its clear terrorists wanted to recreate the 7th October massacre. Again. All those terrorist sympathizers should be ashamed of themselves. M sure they're rambling about unity and kindness now #bondiattack.”

The attack, which occurred during Hanukkah, resulted in 12 deaths and over 60 injuries. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese confirmed it as a deliberate antisemitic act targeting Jewish attendees. Dutta explicitly linked the tragedy to the October 7, 2023 Hamas assault on Israel, framing it as part of a continuing global pattern of extremist violence.

In addition to her X post, Dutta shared disturbing videos from the shooting on her Instagram profile, providing followers a stark and immediate look at the chaos during the attack. Her posts reflect deep frustration over the targeting of civilians and her condemnation of extremist ideologies.

Dutta also criticized what she described as the hypocrisy of “terrorist sympathizers” who publicly promote unity and kindness after such attacks, reflecting her outspoken Hindu nationalist perspective. Public reactions on X were mixed: many supported her strong stance, others highlighted a Muslim bystander who disarmed one of the attackers, while unverified claims and fringe theories about the perpetrators’ origins circulated online, illustrating the polarized discourse surrounding Islamist extremism.

By combining condemnation with on-the-ground footage, Munmun Dutta’s social media activity underscores the urgent human and ideological dimensions of terrorism, while sparking discussion on accountability, global extremism, and public awareness.
