Directed by Aditya Dhar of Uri: The Surgical Strike fame, Dhurandhar is inspired by real-life covert operations of India’s RAW agency in Pakistan, particularly Operation Lyari. The film promises adrenaline-fueled action, espionage, and intense drama, and the title track perfectly mirrors that energy.
The “Dhurandhar” song, also known by its alternate titles “Jogi” or “Na De Dil Pardesi Nu”, is a modern reimagining of a 1990s Punjabi folk hit. It blends traditional Punjabi lyrics with contemporary hip-hop and rap beats, giving it a fresh, edgy feel. The track features vocals by Hanumankind, marking his Bollywood debut, alongside Jasmine Sandlas, Sudhir Yaduvanshi, Shashwat Sachdev, and the original folk legends Muhammad Sadiq and Ranjit Kaur, bridging the past and present in an explosive musical fusion.
