Filmmaker Tarun Mansukhani has credited producer Sajid Nadiadwala for consistently elevating the Housefull franchise and ensuring it remains one of Bollywood’s most successful commercial entertainers. Speaking to the media, Tarun praised Sajid’s relentless pursuit of innovation, saying the producer is always thinking of ways to make each film bigger, funnier, and more surprising for the audience.

 

According to Tarun, several of the boldest creative decisions in Housefull 5 were Sajid’s ideas—from crafting two completely different climaxes to shaping the film as a wild murder mystery set aboard a luxury cruise ship. “Sajid keeps thinking about doing different stuff. Creating two climaxes for Housefull 5 was his idea. Making it a murder mystery was his idea. Placing the story on a ship was his idea,” Tarun shared, adding that much of the screenplay came directly from Sajid’s vision.

 

He further highlighted the producer’s commitment to entertaining audiences worldwide. “He constantly tries to take the franchise a notch higher with every installment. Housefull is the first Hindi franchise to reach five parts, and that is not an easy thing. The kind of effort he has put in is something everyone can see on the big screen,” he said.

 

Co-written and directed by Tarun Mansukhani, Housefull 5 is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Warda Nadiadwala, and Firuzi Khan under Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. The film boasts a massive ensemble cast including Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Nana Patekar, Jacqueline Fernandez, Chitrangada Singh, and many more, making it one of the most star-studded comedies of the year.

 

Released on 6 June 2025, the film took an unconventional leap by offering two different versions—Housefull 5A and Housefull 5B—each featuring a unique climax. The story follows a group of imposters claiming to be the heir of a billionaire who recently died, resulting in a chaotic, comic, high-stakes battle for his fortune on a lavish cruise liner.
