The screening of Gustaakh Ishq: Kuch Pehle Jaisa turned into a mini–fashion festival as Bollywood’s glam squad rolled in with effortless swagger. Janhvi Kapoor kept things sleek and street-chic in black jeans, a black tee, and a jacket—an all-black look that was equal parts casual and killer. Lulia Vantur dialed up the edge in glossy leather pants, while Zoya Akhtar, Bhavna Pandey, and the omnipresent Orry added their own flair to the evening. Beyond the style parade, the buzz was all about Gustaakh Ishq, the romantic drama that’s been making waves since its gala premiere at the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa. If the film’s aesthetics are anything like his couture, audiences are in for a treat. Set for a theatrical release on 28 November 2025, the movie’s anticipation is building faster than a runway show countdown.

 

The story takes viewers back to the 1990s—back when phones had cords and love had patience. Originally titled Ul Jalool Ishq, the film eventually embraced its new name, Gustaakh Ishq: Kuch Pehle Jaisa, capturing the nostalgia and emotional turbulence of a pre-smartphone era. Expect love letters, missed calls (the landline kind), and vibes steeped in old-world romance.

 

With the glitzy screening, a powerhouse cast, and a nostalgic storyline, Gustaakh Ishq is shaping up to be more than just a film—it’s poised to become a full-blown experience.
