When asked about gossip on set, Devgn delivered one of the most Ajay-esque responses ever: “The reason there were no gossips on our sets is because if someone wants to say something, you say it on the person’s back rather than behind it.” Cheeky, honest, and delivered with his signature straight face—classic Ajay.
But the actor wasn’t all jokes. In a more reflective moment, he emphasized the importance of self-belief and trusting one’s instincts. “You really need to believe in yourself. You need to trust your instincts and keep working. I don't think there's a place for too much insecurity. I think life is too short for that,” Devgn told the media, offering advice that could apply just as easily to a newcomer as to a veteran.
As for the film itself, the trailer for De De Pyaar De 2 has officially dropped—and it's already turning heads. The story picks up with Rakul Preet’s character revealing her relationship with Ajay’s character to her parents, played by R. Madhavan and Gautami Kapoor. Naturally, sparks fly—not the romantic kind, but the shocked, wide-eyed kind—when Madhavan realizes his daughter’s partner is, well, significantly older.
The trailer teases a fun, messy, family-centered rom-com as Rakul’s parents hatch a hilarious plan to derail the marriage by bringing Meezaan Jafri into the picture as a romantic alternative. Expect plenty of comedy, emotional highs, and a tug-of-war between love and family loyalty.
The film is directed by Anshul Sharma and penned by Luv Ranjan, who also co-produces alongside Tarun Jain under the T-Series Films banner. With a mix of veteran charm, a quirky premise, and a fresh take on generational conflicts in love, De De Pyaar De 2 promises to be a fun ride with just the right amount of drama.
Catch the film in theatres this November 14.
