Godday Godday Chaa 2 Trailer Promises Another Round of Laughter, Love And Ladkiyaan Power This Diwali

Zee Studios has officially dropped the vibrant, full-of-desi-chaos trailer for Godday Godday Chaa 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2023 National Award-winning Punjabi comedy. With the tagline “Is Diwali, Munde te Kudiyaan puange Gaah!”, the film is gearing up for a festive October 21st, 2025 release — and judging by the trailer, it’s bringing the full baraat back to town.

 

Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora and written by the ever-reliable Jagdeep Sidhu, Godday Godday Chaa 2 picks up where the heartwarming original left off. Once again frontlined by the charismatic duo Ammy Virk and Tania, the sequel dives deeper into the joyful mayhem of rural Punjabi weddings — complete with lively giddas, emotional meltdowns, and, of course, the ongoing revolution to break wedding norms, one dhol beat at a time.

 

The trailer is a visual celebration — flashing with colorful turbans, dancing aunties, family feuds over shagun, and the not-so-subtle feminist undertone that made the original such a critical and commercial hit (₹25 crore worldwide, no less). The women, who once fought for a seat at the baraat, now seem ready to take over the whole wedding — dhol, ghori, and all.

 

Featuring a solid ensemble cast including Gurjazz, Gitaj Bindrakhia, Nikeet Dhillon, Nirmal Rishi, Gurpreet Bhangu, and Sardar Sohi, the film leans into its comedy while keeping the social messaging light but impactful — a signature Jagdeep Sidhu touch.

 

As Punjabi cinema continues to expand its global footprint, Godday Godday Chaa 2 is perfectly timed to charm both domestic viewers and the diaspora during the Diwali window.
