Family, Faith And Festive Glamour: Devgn Clan, Mukerji Clan, and Karan Johar at the 79th North Bombay Durga Puja

The 79th North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja in Juhu turned into a grand reunion of Bollywood’s most beloved families and friends, as the city’s cultural heartbeat pulsed with devotion, celebration, and star power. Year after year, this iconic puja has brought together the biggest names from the film fraternity, and 2025 was no different.

Making a graceful entrance was Kajol, joined by husband Ajay Devgn and daughter Nysa Devgan. The trio offered prayers together, embodying the festive spirit of family and tradition. Kajol, in a classic sari, radiated elegance, while Nysa — a rising Gen-Z fashion icon — made heads turn with her modern ethnic look. Ajay, as always, kept things understated yet dignified, standing by his family for the rituals.

Joining the festivities were the next generation of Devgns — Aaman Devgan and Danish Devgn, who made an appearance at the pandal. Though relatively low-key, the duo is gradually becoming familiar faces at film and cultural events, and their presence added to the sense of legacy and family unity the event is known for.

The puja also witnessed the return of Rani Mukerji, a central figure at this pandal every year. Dressed in traditional Bengali attire, Rani offered anjali and participated in the rituals with her usual grace and warmth. Adding a surprise twist to the day was filmmaker Karan Johar, who joined Rani at the celebration. Known more for his Diwali parties than Durga Puja visits, Karan's presence added an unexpected but delightful note to the gathering.

The 79th edition of this beloved puja wasn’t just about rituals — it was a coming together of Bollywood’s close-knit families, its enduring friendships, and the cultural ties that bind them all. Amid the sound of dhak, the fragrance of incense, and the sea of traditional wear, the North Bombay Durga Puja once again proved why it remains one of the city's most iconic and star-studded festive events.
