Single Salma Trailer Out: Huma Qureshi Caught Between Lucknow’s Shaadi and London’s Pyaar!

The much-awaited trailer for Single Salma is finally out, and it promises a riot of laughs, emotional chaos, and classic shaadi confusion! Dropped by Star Studios, the trailer is packed with fun, drama, and a whole lot of love triangles. The official caption perfectly sets the tone: "Lucknow Ki shaadi or London Ka pyaar –Kaun karega Salma ka relationship status change? Let the chaos begin!"

 

The film hits cinemas on October 31st, just in time to make this Diwali season even more entertaining.

 

The film stars Huma Qureshi in the titular role, making a strong return to the lead after a hiatus. The 2-minute 16-second trailer opens with a humorous voiceover set against the iconic Rumi Darwaza in Lucknow, where we’re reminded that in India, true “promotion” in life still means getting married. Salma, unmarried and unbothered, soon finds herself at the center of a marriage mission — led by her well-meaning family and nosy society.

 

Enter Shreyas Talpade as Sikandar — the age-appropriate, sanskari Lucknowite — and Sunny Singh as Meet — the charming, modern NRI with London vibes. What starts as a simple arranged marriage quickly spirals into a love triangle full of witty dialogues, double-meaning jokes, cultural clashes, and Salma’s personal tug-of-war between tradition and attraction.

 

Directed by Nachiket Samant, Single Salma brings together a solid supporting cast and vibrant visuals of Lucknow, blending Indian wedding madness with urban romantic dilemmas. The film is produced by Saqib Saleem (Huma Qureshi’s brother), along with Star Studios, under Element3Entertainment and LalalandEntertainment. The team also includes writers and creatives like Mudassar Aziz, Firuzi Khan, and Amina Khan, ensuring a fresh yet familiar comedy-drama vibe.
