Vishesh Films has officially announced the beginning of shoot for Awarapan 2, reuniting Emraan Hashmi with the banner that helped define some of his most iconic roles. The first schedule has kicked off in Bangkok, Thailand, with an image of the mahurat clapperboard shared on their social media, captioned sentimentally with “Tera Mera Rishta Purana bro @emraanhashmi.” This ceremony underscores tradition, as the mahurat shot—a blessing ritual dating back to the early days of Indian cinema—marked the formal launch of the sequel on September 29, 2025.

 

Directed by Nitin Kakkar and written by Bilal Siddiqui, the film is set for release on April 3, 2026.
